peerless/tecumseh hydrostat transaxle

Hello,
I was hoping someone could tell me what type oil (motor, synthetic, hydraulic fluid) and weight a peerless/Tecumseh hydrostat requires. I have the peerless part number which is 730228. I can't seem to find a cross reference for it. Thanks a bunch in advance! rick in Knoxville tn.
