1991 Toro Wheel Horse 244-H
My grampa bought this tractor brand new in 1991. It is powered by a 14 horse Onan. I am trying to find the optional 42in mower for this tractor.

Hi Kingwood990. I joined this forumn just to ask you this!..... I have this same mower, my dad bought it in 1991 (I believe) and my mower deck is rusted out. I have holes the size of silver dollars and the metal duck tape is just not cutting it! So, if you find your 42" deck I would love to purchase your mower deck from you if it's in good shape...it appears to be. Please let me know, thanks!

I wish I could sell you my 38'' deck but I want to keep this tractor all original. The deck is in great shape but it will stay with this tractor. It would be an insult to my grandfather if I sold parts off of his baby. He loved this tractor and I plan on keeping it for years to come.

Of course I understand. I was assuming (hoping) that if you found the 42" you would not keep the 38".... I would never suggest that you start selling off parts from this beloved machine unless you could keep it complete! I remember that my Dad opted for the 38 because the guy that sold it to him said the 38 had a nicer cut, fyi. Thank you for the reply.

I see what your saying now. Sorry for assuming. I have not found a 42'' for it yet. I really like the way the 38'' cuts and it is really nice with the mulching plate I have for it. Plus if it was any larger I would not have as much room in my shop for my other tractors.
